April 2012

April was a very quiet month and we STAYED home!!!

Nick rode over on the Friday of Easter and Mel and the children came by car.  We had a lovely day (including launching the boat) and then Nick and Mel went off for some alone time and we had the grandchildren for the night.  We then headed down on the Saturday to the Gold Coast (of course!) and had a lovely day.  On Monday we took Laura and Jules down there before rushing back for Jules to catch the plane home to NZ.  We managed to do some damage at DFO by the airport!!

The next weekend was our big opening of our new facility at work.  The first day was all the dignitaries lunches, speeches and planting of a tree.  Day two was a customer day and Saturday was family day.  Geoff was ill with bronchial pneumonia so Nick brought the two grandchildren to it for the day.

Then it was Anzac Day - funny really to have a day off in the middle of the week.  We had a nice sleep in and then headed over to Redcliffe for lunch with Laura.  Nick dropped off the grandchildren and we had a nice time at the park.
