June 2012

Unbelievable how quickly the year is passing - we are past the halfway mark.

The first weekend in June Nick rode from his place to ours - took about two hours I think.  Amazing how you can quickly progress from "couch potato" status to a two hour and many many kms rider???
Mel drove down with the children so an enjoyable day for me too!  Laura and I took the kids to Mt Ommenay shopping centre which was quite an experience - particularly as little Coen wanted to run away all the time!

Nanna don't watch me!

Ha - removing the table protector!

The door is open - I am off!

Crawling might get me there faster!

Off shopping - a balloon

Just chatting on Nanna's  Iphone

All too much - tired now

Meantime Missy Kaisha watching Pepper Pig on Ipad

Ice cream time - waiting for Laura

Games

Very cute!

After dinner - bath time

coy look?

Our gorgeous boy!

Three little ducks

Thanks Laura for helping with the bath

Loving Grandads lunch box - bunny going inside!

Kaisha loving my treadmill - getting her exercise - Coen not missing out!

I'm off

Nanna's granny shoes?  Wonder why she picked them (even I don't wear them!)

Avideo of Coen calling for "Nanna"!

The following weekend I headed again to Christchurch.  I had booked this a while ago knowing we had a public holiday on the Monday so gave me a long weekend with no time off work.  I suggested Jane come down too - so she booked and then we found out Mark had previously booked the same weekend!  So all the Dent family together again!  It was quite a special time. Jane and I managed to arrive at the airport within 10 mins of each other - after texting - her in Auckland and me in Brisbane very funny that we arrived together - good old Jetstar NOT!

Its snowing in Christchurch Brrrrrr!

Christchurch!

Mum all dressed to go to a party (Gordon Kelly's 70th)

Helena and Andrew talking with Mark and Jane

The Craig boys

Yummy whitebait fritters - thanks Dad!!!

Jane and I escaped to the "Old Vicarage" - very pleasant!

Hard to believe there was still snow around!

Caroline meet us there another day - this time we stayed inside!

My good friend Caroline and I - note the snow in the garden!

It was hard to say goodbye this time because I am not sure when I will be back.

The next Friday night we met the kids for dinner in the "valley".  If I have a weekend when I haven't seen them I need a "fix" - a bit like drugs ha ha.

Turkish restaurant

The following weekend we decided to give Nick and Mel a break and have the kids for Friday night, the day on Saturday and then take them home all bathed and in jamas Saturday night.

Playing dressups

Kaisha's "scary" face
Groans - 5.00am in the morning
However Mel and Nick have decided we don't hear Coen wake up - just put plenty of food in his tummy, warmed the room up and hey presto slept all night.  Laura slept in next room and I am sure she would have heard him ......................... well maybe??

May 2012

On the 4th May I travelled to Christchurch to see Mum and Dad before heading up to Auckland to my nephew Brad's wedding.

Had a really really busy time in Christchurch and neglected to take many photos other than a very quick visit to Fiddy's new abode!

Cute tipped over shed
Hens laying eggs in the background
Gorgeous little spot in the sun

Headed up to Auckland on Tuesday afternoon - Geoff and Laura were getting in at midnight. Liz picked me up and we had a quick shop, tea and then she dropped me to Jen and Mark's new place in Bucklands Beach.

We had a girly day out on Wednesday - started with high tea at the Langham

We were delighted to go to Chois with Arnold and Carol - just like old times!  Australia would be perfect if we could import our friends (and Choi's!)

Yum!!
Thursday was another busy day - Jen, Laura, Julie and I met the boys for lunch at the Cock and Bull - boys being Mark, Selwyn and Nathan.  Then we headed for some more girly time - this time nails and a pedicure.

Ahhh!
Pampering time
Pity they are hidden in our winter shoes!
Nice!
After mission we went to Jane and Si's for supper to wish Brad all the best for his wedding the next day!

Friday, 11th May dawned - beautiful day.
